SocietyOnTAP is a FREE and AD free mobile solution. 
Every individual stays in a society and needs to abide to certain legal conformance's set by the government. This is irrespective of the fact whether the society is legally formed or otherwise. 
Most of us leave this matter to Society board members, however there are various legal aspects or policies which everyone needs to abide to.

The core intent of SocietyOnTAP is to provide a platform where society members can come together, interact and perform activities seamlessly. Personally visiting the offices, during office hours, is no longer desired.

Over last 40 years, Housing Federation, has been actively providing guidance to societies. They form the link between us and the government and take up various matters on our behalf.

All this while Housing Federation was only linked with the Society Board Members, now with SocietyOnTAP, anyone can connect and be appraised.

SocietyOnTAP - Configuring EMERGENCY Alarm setting

Configuring the EMERGENCY alarm settings is very easy, Please follow these simple steps, as illustrated below. For other details, please Click here to check the earlier article

Once you have installed SocietyOnTAP and performed the registration process, you would need to configure the Emergency settings. 

• Open the SocietyOnTAP application
• Click on Preferences, as seen in the picture below

Configuring the EMERGENCY contacts 

Set the mobile numbers for the two types of emergencies. You can set up to 3 mobile numbers per emergency type.

Please ensure that you set the numbers in a fashion that appropriate members get notified. 

Set the numbers based on your comfort of handling the device, and type of emergency you may need. 

Save the preferences, by clicking the "TICK" button as seen in the picture.











USAGE I : Knowing where your beloved person is?
They say "prevention is better than cure". We expect the people to use this feature as a prevention mechanism to know where your beloved person is.
By simply sending a simple SMS "owhru.<your message>", get the whereabouts of the beloved one, automatically including the location. 
Please note, the person whose details are desired should have SocietyOnTAP installed and your number should be in the EMERGENCY preferences.

USAGE II : Raising the EMERGENCY Alarm

When in need, you can raise the emergency alarm. 

When the mobile screen is locked, Click the Power Key, 3 times and it will trigger the alarm to the first set of mobile numbers configured.

When the mobile screen is locked, Click the Power Key, and Volume button 2 times and it will trigger the alarm to the second set of mobile numbers configured.

The phone would vibrate to help you know that the EMERGENCY alarm is raised, and you can be relieved.

Please note that different mobile phones have Power and Volume key at different places. The picture on the left is just a mere presentation of the action desired.

Also note that, if your mobile phone is GPS enabled then and only then it would be able to send the location details.

Receiving the EMERGENCY Alarm

When an emergency alarm is raised, the receiver, if he has SocietyOnTAP, would automatically see the alarm. 

One can see the mobile number who has raised the emergency alarm.

Also, one can see the location details, if the mobile phone is capable of sending the same. One can zoom-in to see the exact location. 

If you need to have the latest and more location details, you can click on the "LOCATION" button seen next to "X" button in the picture.

Please note, Use this feature at your discretion and avoid panicking, because it is a mobile device and would take some time.

SocietyOnTAP is a FREE and AD free mobile solution. 

Safety, of our kids on road or our parents at home or of our own-self, has become a growing concern. The number of assaults on the streets are increasing every day. Cities, which once used to be safe, are no longer safe. 


The Fact, In case of emergency one does not get sufficient time to intimate/inform the trusted people, leaving the person to face and mitigate the situation on his own. Post incident,  we can only console ourselves and our beloved ones.

With SocietyOnTAP, leave the worries behind!!! 

Check the whereabouts of our loved ones. By simply sending a simple SMS "owhru.<your message>", get the whereabouts of the beloved one, automatically including the location.

Raise EMERGENCY alarm in distress or when help is needed. 

Two different EMERGENCY alarms can be configured, where based on the need you can set respective mobile numbers. 

Three mobile numbers can be configured for each emergency type. 

When in distress and the type of distress, the respective alarm can be raised by clicking the POWER button three times OR by clicking the POWER button once AND then the VOLUME button 2 times. The mobile phone should be in locked state.

Be relieved, Sufficient time of 10 seconds is provided to raise the alarm, the phone would vibrate to help you know that the alarm is raised, and you can be relieved. So in an EMERGENCY situation, there is absolutely no need to look at the mobile phone. 
The person who receives the EMERGENCY alarm can act accordingly. He can also request for latest location details, the process happens without any action / intervention desired from the caller.

SocietyOnTAP, is absolutely FREE and it is AD-Free as well. 

With SocietyOnTAP, you will stay connected with Housing Federation, the link between Society and the Government, and can participate in various Society related drives/issues/matters.

ICRC India now with OnTAP!

bitSmart is proud to announce its association with ICRC. The firm specializes in sales promotional activities, branding, events & road shows, merchandising and many such activities across India, serving esteemed brands like Pidilite, Apple, Idea, Unilever, Marico and many more!

There is a keen urge to continuously validate and verify different processes in place and not only automate the same with onTAP but identifying means of optimizing it. 
For promotional activity recce of the venue is very important. It is the first look of the location / outlet to be approved by the client. The entire process from recce till the execution is time consuming and requires constant interactions. 

Traditionally, recce takes place and the associated details are recorded with the pen - paper method, where the person needs to write down every detail about the location, take photos and send it through email / courier to the office. 
The details are then passed on to the client for approval. 
Once the client approves, then printing activity needs to be performed, which again might need approval of the client. 
Finally the actual execution needs to be initiated. Once the execution is done, the same needs to be sent to the client to gather final client nod / feedback about it. 
All the above process takes anywhere between few days to few months.

Engagement with bitSmart
bitSmart did not anticipate that OnTAP can be leveraged for ICRC, until the team had a brief meeting to understand the business process and thus the requirement.
The subsequent day bitSmart developed the desired application templates for recce and execution. 
A trial run was conducted in Gujrat and ICRC team was satisfied with the overall experience, ease and the amount of time saved. 
Some tweaks were suggested which the bitSmart team did in a day and we were all set to sign the deal.

What Next
There are other processes like saturation which is currently under trial and would be launched soon.
ICRC would like to leverage OnTAP to automate the entire business process, enable smart scheduling & tracking and generate statistics to continuously monitor and take corrective actions to provide business efficiency & value.
